On March 18th, THE BOYZ released their 2nd full album 'PHANTASY' Pt.3 Love Letter, concluding the PHANTASY series.
Through 'THE' series, THE BOYZ have discussed the passion and growth toward dreams everyone can experience, along with the pure love between boys and girls. In August last year, they opened a new chapter with their second full album [PHANTASY].
The second full album [PHANTASY] is based on the grand theme of 'Everyone dreams of a fantasy', embroidering various keywords of 'fantasy' such as excitement, mystery, and emotion with THE BOYZ's unique colors. From 'real romance fantasy' containing moments and emotions like miraculous 'imaginations' out of a dream to enchanting 'dark fantasy', THE BOYZ have received warm love from music fans worldwide, marking a new 'career high'. They've proven their worth by sweeping music charts at home and abroad, global charts, awards, and music shows, achieving an 'all-kill'.
With a solid fanbase both domestically and internationally, THE BOYZ continues to climb the music charts with each new release. The first story of the second full album [PHANTASY], 'Christmas In August', depicted the thrill of love that's like a miracle in a dream, unimaginable in reality. The second story, 'Sixth Sense', captured the boys transformed into bad boys, presenting an enchanting dark fantasy that stimulates all five senses and beyond. The finale, 'Love Letter', encompasses the pain faced by boys dealing with parting.
Experiencing their first breakup, the boys choose to disconnect from the world out of fear. ‘PHANTASY' Pt.3 'Love Letter' portrays the end of love, the pain of separation, the sense of loss, and the beginning of new love. The title track 'Nectar' delivers the message, 'Leaving the past behind and running towards a bright future and ideals', clearly embodying the album's overall theme. 'Nectar', the title track of 'Love Letter', is a medium pop song with a lyrical guitar sound, allowing listeners to feel the deepened emotional line of THE BOYZ. The introduction's nostalgic feeling contrasted with the lively chorus highlights the hopeful message.
Additionally, 'Hurt Me Less (Phantom Pain)', themed around phantom pain, where one feels actual pain due to a fantasy they've created, expresses the sense of loss after a breakup. 'Dear.', contributed to by members Sangyeon, Younghoon, New, Q, and Eric in the lyrics, deeply incorporates a grateful heart towards their official fandom 'THE B', adding meaning to the fan song.
