The sound was carefully refined, and the message was beautifully crafted. MONSTA X sings about various forms of love through their new mini album, showcasing their distinct musical color and deeper thoughts.

With the November 2021 release of their 10th mini album [NO LIMIT], MONSTA X showcased their limitless potential. In their new mini album [SHAPE of LOVE], they sing about 'love,' from self-love, love for MONSTA X and their music, to love for their fans. This album contains various forms of love, demonstrating the matured insight of MONSTA X, as well as their more distinct and evolved color.

The title track 'LOVE' is produced by MONSTA X member Jooheon, encapsulating the meaning of love as conveyed by MONSTA X. Starting with Hyungwon's deadly narration, "What do you think love is?", 'LOVE' integrates an old-school R&B guitar sound with a rough and groovy hip-hop base, contemporarily interpreted to emit the unique intense color and energy of MONSTA X.

Jooheon, having produced the title tracks for the 9th and 10th mini albums, took on the role once again for this album, enriching MONSTA X's musical color. The lyrics depict a love that wishes to give everything, reminiscent of the pure emotions of a child, and signify MONSTA X's return to the initial feelings of love, affirming their constant love for their fans. While the unique intense sound expresses love for MONSTA X's music, the lyrics capture love for their fans, successfully portraying various aspects of love.

The music video also encapsulates MONSTA X's narrative of love for their music and fans. It symbolically represents the steps MONSTA X has taken, using a concept of an award ceremony, blending splendid group dances, individual visuals, and objects symbolizing love, to offer an engaging experience.

Not just Jooheon, but Hyungwon and I.M also participated in writing, composing, and arranging most of the songs, showcasing MONSTA X's exceptional musical abilities. From Hyungwon's self-composed song 'Burning Up', which likens the start and excitement of love to a spark, to 'Breathe' depicting the moment of falling in love, 'Wildfire' expressing the agony of tainted love, Jooheon's heartfelt 'I Love You', to I.M's profound 'AND', the album weaves a diverse tracklist centered around the theme of 'love'. Notably, 'Wildfire' is a collaborative effort by Hyungwon, I.M, and Jooheon, allowing listeners to experience MONSTA X's musical teamwork.

Since their debut in 2015, MONSTA X has established a unique presence in the K-pop scene, gaining global popularity. Now in their 8th year since debut, with their 11th mini album, MONSTA X is ready to give back more love than they've received, with their unique way of love.
