I.M has released his new EP [OVERDRIVE]. This album, consisting of a total of 6 tracks including the titular song ‘OVERDRIVE’, showcases the musical world I.M as a solo artist wishes to present, intricately unraveling it through sometimes deep and dark sounds, and at other times, through delicate melodies, with I.M taking charge of producing all the tracks.

This album, marking the official start of I.M's solo activities, reflects his determination to ‘speed up’ and move forward into a new beginning, as suggested by the title ‘OVERDRIVE’.

The title track ‘OVERDRIVE’ is an impressive song with its strong trap sound and goal-oriented lyrics. The title itself contains two meanings: ‘acceleration’ and a guitar effect that ‘creates normal signal levels from distorted sounds beyond a set range’, and throughout the lyrics, one can find aspirations for a new beginning and confidence in the direction to move forward.

Furthermore, from ‘Blame’, depicting the pain that starts with love and turns into resentment, to ‘Dumb’, expressing the foolishness of falling in love, ‘Habit’, penning down the moment when a habit becomes unfamiliar like a poem, ‘More’, sexily capturing the situation of not being able to control the drawn emotions, and ‘Not Sorry’, singing the contradiction of being sorry but not sorry, I.M expresses the emotions and stories he wishes to convey through the sound and lyrics of all 6 tracks.
