In March 2022, following their comeback with the first full album 'I NEVER DIE,' which topped the iTunes charts in 24 regions worldwide and reached No. 58 on the Billboard Global 200, solidifying their status as leading K-POP artists, (G)I-DLE successfully concluded their '2022 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [JUST ME ( )I-DLE]' across 10 countries and 18 cities, making a return after 7 months.

The fifth mini album [I love] embodies the bold resolve to shed any pretense not reflective of one's true self, emphasizing the importance of existing in one's natural state, unshaped by the desires of others. This album, which also saw Soyeon taking the helm as the lead producer, involves the members in the composition and writing of all tracks, showcasing their versatility as artists across various genres including pop, rock, indie pop, and hip-hop. The title track 'Nxde' uses the melody of 'Habanera' from the opera 'Carmen' to represent the persona of every individual as a 'Show,' metaphorically stripping down to one's 'nude' essence in a defiant stand against societal taboos.

Prior to the album release, (G)I-DLE unveiled three concept images that heightened anticipation: the 'Act' concept expressing the duality of love, the 'Born' concept inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and the 'X-File' concept reflecting the hidden sides of a beloved artist. The 'Nxde' music video, utilizing animation for a lighthearted delivery of its message, offers a unique visual treat to fans.

(G)I-DLE stands firm against prejudice, declaring their intention to remain grounded in their truth, even if it means facing a world without love. Their journey promises to reshape the era, signaling an exciting path ahead for the group.
