'MANIFESTO: DAY 1', A Declaration to Their Generation from Seven Boys… The First Step in Finding Answers
'MANIFESTO: DAY 1' is the result of ENHYPEN's continued deliberations on their identity, portraying the journey of seven boys who step forward to pave the way for their generation, destined to connect with the future. Through the 'BORDER' and 'DIMENSION' series, they narrated the story of boys connected to a new world. After debut, facing a new dimension that turned out to be more complex and contradictory than expected, the boys encountered various dilemmas linked to different desires, experiencing the contradictions and conflicts of those desires.
In this confusing world, questioning the definition of success laid out by adults, the boys decide to stop living as others dictate and take the first step towards finding the right answers for themselves. This marks the beginning of the real story of living life according to one's own will, as the seven boys take the mic to declare to their generation, "We'll move forward first, so let's go together." They pass the mic to our generation, igniting the spark for a new beginning.
Teasing content released prior to the album's launch also revealed ENHYPEN's dramatically changed intense energy and firm resolve. They infused independent stories into the three concept photos of versions 'D', 'J', and 'M', structuring the concepts to converge into one narrative, sparking various interpretations and speculations among fans.
From the opening track 'WALK THE LINE', through 'Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)', 'ParadoXXX Invasion', 'TFW (That Feeling When)', 'SHOUT OUT', to the final track 'Foreshadow', the album is strategically arranged with six tracks of diverse genres. ENHYPEN challenges rap for the first time with the title track 'Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)', and notably, member Jake participates in the lyrics writing for 'SHOUT OUT', marking their musical challenges and growth.
