ENHYPEN narrates the story of boys standing at the threshold through 'BORDER: DAY ONE'.
Surviving the competitive and collaborative environment of 'I-LAND', seven boys on the verge of debut mark the beginning of a long journey on the first day in a new world, watching the rising sun. Transitioning from trainees filled with potential to debutant idols, from isolated individuals to a unified team, the boys stepping across the boundary dividing past and future realms experience both the joy of survival and the anxiety of the unknown future.
The story and complex emotions encountered by the boys at the edge of the unknown, as they connect, discover, and grow together, along with their strong determination to overcome these, are visually represented through two contrasting concepts: 'DAWN' and 'DUSK', signifying the boundary between day and night.
The album starts with 'Intro: Walk the Line', singing the transition of pain to joy as the surviving boys enter the world they dreamed of. It includes the title track 'Given-Taken', expressing the longing for a new world of desire and the space of a loved one in 'Let Me In (20 CUBE)', the fluttering yet clumsy moments of love compared to a 10-month-old puppy in '10 Months', signaling to connect with the other and linking worlds together in 'Flicker', and 'Outro: Cross the Line' that concludes the first day and anticipates ENHYPEN's next step across the line.
