BOYNEXTDOOR honestly sings about the various emotions experienced in moments of love and breakup. ‘WHY..’ naturally connects the beginning and end of first love, including six tracks such as the debut single ‘Going Crazy’, ‘One and Only’, ‘Serenade’, and new songs ‘Crying’, ‘It Sucks’, ‘ABCDLOVE’.
The new songs showcase contrasting emotional lines to the debut single. ‘Crying’ discusses the difficult times after ending a clumsy first love, the title track ‘It Sucks’ directly expresses the complex emotions like a turbulent wave after breakup, and ‘ABCDLOVE’ delicately handles the emotional transitions after love ends, portraying the awkward void left by the departed yet gradually envisioning a positive future.
Especially, following their previous work, in this album, Myung Jae-hyun, Tae San, and Woon Hak participated in composing and writing three new songs, delivering music that resonates with the rawness of youth. The intuitive lyrics provide deeper empathy and immersion to peers.
KOZ Entertainment's head, producer and artist ZICO, has overseen the overall producing and participated in writing the lyrics for ‘It Sucks’, while top producer Pop Time, who has closely observed the members' talents for a long time, took on the main producing of the album.

Just as straightforward as the title ‘It Sucks’, BOYNEXTDOOR roughly vents the sorrow felt from their first breakup. Through lyrics like “You who hated my coarse mouth / Even when I'm angry, I can't swear because of you”, they reveal their sincerity in love and express their resigned yet childish emotions without holding back. Additionally, the lyrics “Sometime please disappear / But sometimes I miss you” show their inability to let go of lingering feelings.
The performance distinctly conveys the intense energy of ‘It Sucks’. Movements that seem to vent anger outward and the wandering appearance due to remaining attachment are incorporated into the choreography, expressing ambivalent emotions. The members exhibit their skills with excellent control over strength and delicacy, transitioning between rough movements and subtle expressions. The music video for ‘It Sucks’ portrays the inability to maturely accept a first breakup. Members expressing confused emotions with sullen faces due to uncontrollable anger evoke both cuteness and pity.
The direction that maximizes the emotions of breakup also stands out. The neighborhood where they confessed their love in the music video for their debut song ‘Serenade’ is burned down to ruins, and the wounded members sink into deep water with their cherished belongings. Objects like the Kiss Time display shot alone without its pair and a teddy bear keeping them company, torn and bandaged here and there, powerfully express the emotions flooding in after the breakup.
